What Does the Sciton® Erbium Laser Skin Resurfacing Procedure Involve?

At our practice, the non-surgical Sciton® Erbium procedure can be performed by one of our skilled Atlanta plastic surgeons in the operating room or by our Nurse Practitioner, Jenny Azar, MS, NP-C. Depending on the area or areas being treated, the process typically takes 30 minutes to an hour.

Following the procedure, patients may experience moderate redness, peeling, and swelling, which typically subsides within 10-14 days. Patients are advised to follow post-treatment instructions carefully, which may include moisturizing and avoiding sun exposure to optimize healing and results.
